JACKSONVILLE, FL (August 22, 2022) - Excelsior Security Agency, Inc. (ESA), Jacksonville’s largest privately-owned public safety and security agency, announced today it is expanding its operations from Florida into the Southeast U.S. Since 2019, ESA has been operating out of its headquarters in Jacksonville where it leads operations across the state, including other cities such as St Augustine, Daytona, Lakeland, Gainesville, Orlando, and Fort Pierce. The first stage of this planned expansion has brought the company into Georgia, and will further bring them into South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Ric Downs, ESA’s CEO, shared that “Expansion is a natural progression of the achievements the company and its employees have attained.” He added that the expansion will provide clients in the new states with “the same caliber of service that has propelled our recent growth throughout Florida.” Sean Saunders, ESA’s Chief Operating Officer commented: “Northeast Florida has been in a crunch trying to fill police officer slots, and little does the public know, that professionally licensed security firms both directly and indirectly pick up some of the slack by taking clients’ calls who request assistance.”
Annually, ESA takes thousands of calls from their clients that entail responding to everything from noise complaints to intoxicated individuals, to trespassers, shoplifters, burglaries, fights, domestic situations and violent crimes. S. Scott Alfassa, ESA’s Director of Strategic Initiatives added:
The Public Safety and Physical Security sector has expanded quite considerably, as rising crime rates across the U.S. have increased by almost 50% over the last decade. Compounding this, policies developed in response to social activism have stifled law enforcement and prosecutors instead of helping them deal with the crime problem; this is where the professional private sector has come in—providing services as a force multiplier against crime in the communities they serve.
The company is currently welcoming new clients in Georgia where they have obtained their state license, while other licensure is currently in-progress. Residential management companies, shopping plazas, schools, restaurants and other commercial establishments that are looking for protective services should contact ESA at 904-592-9900.
Excelsior Security Agency is Northeast Florida’s largest privately-owned security provider, offering armed and unarmed protective services, patrol, and fire watch services. ESA provides its clients with superior public safety and security solutions.
