Commander Jeffrey A. Carr
Director of Operations - Southeast Region
Born and raised in Nitro, WV, the eldest of two sons born to Robert E. & Helen V. Carr. His elementary school years were spent in the public school system where he discovered a love for music and the arts. He later attended Cross Lanes Christian School where he achieved status as an accomplished percussionist and student conductor of the school orchestra and choral group.
He later attended West Virginia State University where he majored in computer science and minored in business administration. During college, he served his hometown as an emergency dispatcher for police, fire and EMS and later enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served as a cryptographic linguist, (20832-Spanish), under the command of the Military Intelligence Wing. His post-military career path led him into the private security industry where he was hired by the National Security Alliance tasked with all aspects of surveillance and protecting the employees and assets of Ma Bell’s subsidiary the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company. Years later he served in a similar capacity for AT&T.
Commander Carr comes to Excelsior Security Agency with 35 years of public and private security experience. Commander Carr became a technician class amateur radio operator and became a volunteer net control operator for the Amateur Radio Emergency Services, (ARES), and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service, (RACES) and is responsible for the coordination of emergency radio traffic concerning humanitarian aid and rescue operations during weather emergencies and natural disasters.
Jeff is now very happily married and a proud resident of Ocala, Florida.
